Challenges synthesis in R&D

To conclude, the main challenges in interoperability in R&D for software’s publisher are resumed as following:

Systematic challenges:

  • Skills availability
  • Development costs
  • Tests costs
  • Support costs

Potential challenges:

  • Availability of test platforms for cloud-based solutions
  • Availability of test platforms configured for heavy solutions
  • High complexity level in the case where you have to support numerous combinable technologies
  • Increased difficulties of exposure, especially in the "API" mode which requires a very specific technical know-how and a rigorous industrial software release process.
